Experience the best of both worlds by kayaking to a beautiful ship, boarding and sailing the Tolmato River. Once aboard the Momentum you will feel the nostalgia of sailing on a historic vessel which is a replica of an 1833 schooner. Kayaking through the inlet we will experience hundreds of years of history from the time of the Timucua to the Spanish occupation of St. Augustine. This waterway is the home to many of Northeast Florida's animals, such as, dolphins, manatees, osprey, herons, and even the occasional sea turtle. Once aboard the ship we can enjoy complementary snacks and beverages. All along the way you will learn about the estuarine ecosystem that surrounds you. We will end the tour with a relaxing kayak paddle and watch the sun dip below the horizon, signaling the end of an enriching day.
