GTMNERR Eco and Historical Kayak Tour

Guided Kayak Eco Tours in the GTM Reserve offered weekly. Kayaking Guana River is one of our many family friendly adventures. The GTMNERR is convenient for those who want to kayak near Ponte Vedra Beach or St. Augustine.

Guana River Aquatic Preserve is 2400 acres of coastal wetlands. This is the home of many of Northeast Florida's coastal birds. On the Guana Birding list there are over 268 species of birds and counting. Just a few of the animal that can be found in the protected waterways of the preserve are manatees, dolphins, wood storks, roseate spoon bills, bald eagles, peregrine falcons, and many more. This stretch of Northeast Florida is one of the only completely preserved areas left. As we paddle along Guana River it is easy to imagine being one of the first explorers to see this pristine coastline. You will learn about the indigenous people of this area and their way of life. Including the exciting history of Ponce De Leon and The Fountain of Youth to how the Spanish came to form St. Augustine. This is one of our many interactive and educational Eco Adventures.
