Dutton Island Dolphin Adventure

Dutton Island is the City of Atlantic Beaches largest treasure located at the western end of Dutton Drive, and west of Mayport Road. Dutton Island consists of 9,000 square feet of nature trails, 386 acres of land, a fishing pier, canoe/kayak launch, picnic area and pavilion.

Home of the Marsh Fest for the last four years, Dutton Island is a cherished gem of Atlantic Beach.

The City of Atlantic Beach along with non profit environmental organizations and locals have banned together to make the preservation of this rich ecosystem possible.

Dutton Island Preserve formerly known as Pine Island lies east of the Intra Coastal Waterway (ICW) with miles of winding tributaries and pristine estuary to explore; you will never cover the same water twice. This ecologically diverse estuary offers incredible views of nesting osprey, bald eagles, heron, wood stork, and many more of Florida's resident and migratory birds. Along the (ICW) we will often encounter Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins that feed and teach their young to hunt in the flowing tidal rivers of the ICW. Seasonally, the West Indian Manatee uses the ICW to travel along and lazily graze its shores.

The abundance of shear beauty is breath taking as you get a real glimpse of what "The Real Florida" has to offer.

Our touring kayaks are comfortable and stable, the perfect environmentally friendly vehicle for exploring one of the most bio-diverse ecosystems in the world. All of our tour times are planned to work with the tide ensuring a more enjoyable and low impact kayak adventure.

Navigate through tunnels, explore an abandoned sailboat anchorage, hunt for dolphins and manatees, and spot many of Northeast Florida's coastal birds such as osprey, heron, egret, and wood stork.

Location	Dutton Island Atlantic Beach 1921 Dutton Drive Atlantic Beach, Fl 32233 From 9A head east on Atlantic Blvd. over the Intra Coastal Waterway, staying in the right lane get off on the Mayport Flyover. Go 3 lights down to Dutton Island Rd. Take a left and follow the rd. down a ¼ of a mile. Cross over a small bridge and into a gravel parking lot. There will be a road just ahead, follow it and stay to the left. Park when you get to the next parking area. Oak Harbor Boat Landing 2428 Seaway St. Atlantic Beach, Fl 32233 From 9A head east on Atlantic Blvd. over the Intra Coastal Waterway, staying in the right lane get off on the Mayport Flyover. Take the Mayport Road North approximately 3.25 miles to the Mayport Road and SR A1A fork. Take the left fork to continue on SR A1A about a ½ mile down on left just past the B&M Bait and Tackle on right. Take a right into Oak Harbor Subdivision on Montreal St. go 8 streets and take a right on Green Cay Ave. continue 4 streets down take a left on Seaway st. and go down to the end.
