“Awesome Place to See Wildlife”
Guana Lake is located north of Guana River and is separated by a dam that was built in 1957 when this land was privately owned and then sold to the state in 1987 creating what was known as Guana State Park now GTM Reserve.
With ten miles of winding tributaries and intimate waterways to explore Guana Lake is one of the most unique environments on the east coast of Florida. This unique ecosystem offers extraordinary views of real Florida wildlife in their wild habitat. With over 268 birds on the Guana Birding list it is possible we will encounter countless species of birds and from a very safe distance the American alligator. A shy yet magnificent creature lives mostly in brackish water and can be seen in the warmer months sunbathing in the shallow waters of Guana Lake.
Our stable, top of the line touring kayaks are the perfect environmentally friendly vehicle to explore in comfort.
